While the beaches of south Bali are justly famous, the northern coast of Bali is still a relatively well-kept secret. Lake Beratan is where the popular mountain town of Bedugul lies, and where the famous Balinese Ulun Danu Temple floats elegantly on the lake. Lakes Buyan and Tamblingan are surrounded by flower and vegetable farms and strawberry fields, fishing and boating are popular activities. Bedugul is an attractive tourist destination with vibrant and colourful markets, quaint shops and incredible local cuisine. Also close by is the famous world-class Handara Golf Course which draws international players.
